Hi everyone,
got a few pictures up of the place for you all to see.

Still getting used to the fact that just about none of the ground is level. It probably drops about 12 feet from one end of our driveway to the other and then the road climbs up maybe 20 feet as you head up to the mailboxes. Yes, we have community mailboxes for our cul de sac located about four or five houses up the hill from us. I've started jogging up the hill to get the mail which is a good workout for me at this point. Just as long as I don't drive down it too fast like that car in the opening from "The Streets of San Francisco."
There are still a pretty good number of boxes scattered about but we're making progress!
Take care,
Mark

Mark,
glad to see you found something new off the flat earth of Florida.
Contours of the earth are quite subtle - spend time hugging the ground some warm sunny day and ponder how much power it took to create that hill in front of your house and then magnify that to the creation of a mountain! Its awesome.
DO you have a new USPS address yet?
How is Taliesin adjusting to real dirt and genuine bark on the trees?
Get him a simple small shovel and he will have a blast.
Hey Bear!
new snail mail is

Theresa's folks got Taliesin a little set with a rake, wheelbarrow and shovel and he's already gone to town on a spot in the yard. There is only a couple inches of topsoil and then you hit clay. I want to dig some up and see if I can make something out of it.
We visited Grandfather Mountain this past Thursday - over one mile above sea level! It was a bit overcast which dampened the view about although it was really wild to watch clouds sweeping by us in the Nature Center parking lot.
