Seasons of change

Oh, come on now, you laggards! Four in a row from me without a new post from one of you bums? What, you got lives or something? Sheesh!

Leaves, so many leaves! Finally got a good handle on the situation. Luckily we have that nice patch of woods out back to dump them all in after they're raked up. Of course, the same patch of woods is where about half of the leaves came from in the first place.
I managed to spare a nice pile of leaves for the bottom of the slide on Taliesin's swingset. What a happy guy he was barreling down into the stack and sending leaves flying everywhere. I think one of my responsibilities as a dad is to throw the occasional crazy experience in his path.

Theresa got laid off and I'm still looking for full time work so it's going to be a slim Christmas. But I'm scraping by and we're all healthy so it will be a happy day. A buddy of mine from way back in middle school days just passed away. He was a year or two younger than me and had been fighting brain cancer for over a year. Great guy, great wife, three kids - now he's gone. It really puts things in perspective for me.

Later,
Mark
